Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" location. The people who aren't familiar with this term often think that it's a separate island somewhere to the west of Montreal but in fact it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief stay did not last long. Brugel grew on Courtice just outside Oshawa in Ontario. Her initial ambition was to be an actor, however, after a rapid increase in size, her friends were no longer able to dance with her. The article she wrote about her experience revealed written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. After I outgrew the male partners, I quit. Former dancers often turn to acting, and in the case of Brugel it was the result of a recommendation from her drama teacher. One of her teachers suggested she take part in an audition for the annual school play. She auditioned and was eventually cast as the leading role of Anne of Green Gables. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. The career of Brugel spans more than 20 years and she has performed in more than 60 shows, both on big screens as well as smaller screens. The most well-known role she played was as Rita (pictured below) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale, a series that was produced over the course of ten years.
